Meet Our Principals

Dr. La'Kendra Garrett

My name is Dr. La’Kendra Garrett, and I am delighted to be the Principal at Robinson for the 2025-2026 school year.  Working at Robinson brings me immense joy, and I am excited to continue to collaborate and partner with the students, staff, families, and community.

As the principal, I will work hard to inspire and empower students, staff, families, and community partners so that all have many opportunities to experience success throughout their time at Robinson. I will lead with a service mindset, recognizing that our primary goal is to prioritize what is best for each student.  I will actively listen to the voices of all, and consider multiple perspectives before making decisions.

This school year marks the start of my 18th year in education and my second year as principal at Robinson.  Prior to joining the Robinson Family, I worked in the Ladue School District for three years as the Assistant Principal at Reed and Old Bonhomme Elementary Schools.  I also taught 6th grade ELA in Webster Groves School District, and 4th grade in Hazelwood and Riverview Gardens School Districts.  Before moving to St. Louis in 2016, I worked as an Instructional Coach and 4th grade teacher in South Carolina.  In 2023, I earned a doctorate degree in Teaching and Learning from Missouri Baptist University.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my husband, who is an engineer at Boeing and our three children.  We are often found at sporting events or dance recitals.   We also have a shared love for travel.

I value your input and honest feedback as I serve as your building principal. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, feedback or ideas you have.  Together, we will cultivate an environment where each student will thrive.

I am looking  forward to another great year serving  the Robinson community!

My name is Jen Bordenkircher, and I am honored to serve as the assistant principal at Robinson. I love being part of the Robinson family and school community!

This will be my 19th year in education and my third year as the assistant principal at Robinson. Prior to joining Robinson, I taught 5th grade at Keysor. I also previously taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and worked as a Reading Interventionist and Literacy Coach. I’ve taught in Quincy, Illinois and at Premier Charter School in St. Louis City. I recently earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University.

In my free time, I love to travel with friends and family (usually to a beach), spend time outside in the sun, and read a good book. I am also a huge sports fan and enjoy attending sporting events.

I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with students and families this school year. Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, comments, or ideas that you may have.
