Jennifer Bearden

HELLO and welcome to another SUPER year at Robinson! My name is Mrs. Bearden.  I am starting my 25th year of teaching this year—ALL OF THEM AT ROBINSON!! I’ve been so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with many, many Robinson families over the years in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grade—and now get to work with you! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood education, as well as a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction.  Additionally, I have been able to learn many new and exciting things about teaching and learning from books and articles I read, as well as from sharing knowledge with some super smart teachers I know.  I’m excited to add YOU and as one of those from whom I can learn! All of us are teachers and learners, and all of us have many ways we can grow!

Aside from my amazing Robinson family, I have a pretty great one at home, too.  I have been married to Mr. Bearden (Grant) for 26 years.  He is a teacher, too, and works in Webster (I know, quite a rivalry, huh??).  My son, Riley, is a past Roadrunner and just graduated from KHS.   He's on his way to UMSL in the fall.  My daughter, Allie, is headed to KHS.  We also have a silly dog, Bailey, who is a Boston Terrier and keeps us on our toes.  We love to travel together, and are always up for an adventure to a new place!  I’m sure you’ll hear LOTS of stories about them, as they are very important to me, and help make me who I am.  I can’t wait to hear stories about YOU, too.  Here's to a great year!
